Working as a cybersecurity analyst in Dallas
Corporate headquarters, telecoms and financial services, with no state income tax and housing costs far below the coasts. Strong for enterprise engineering, data and project management.
Most of the hiring in this list clusters around Uptown, Plano, Richardson and Las Colinas. Location on a posting is not always literal — check whether a role is genuinely on site, and whether "remote" means remote within the country or remote from anywhere, because the two are priced differently.

Cybersecurity Analyst pay and hiring, asked properly
What salary can a cybersecurity analyst expect?
In India, roughly 6–12 LPA in a first SOC role and 18–35 LPA at senior or specialist level. The US band is about $75,000–$120,000, the UK £35,000–£65,000. Detection engineering, incident response and cloud security pay materially above generalist SOC work.
Can I get into security without a security background?
Yes, and tier-one SOC is one of the few genuine entry points in the field. It hires from IT support, networking and helpdesk regularly. Security+ is frequently a screening requirement rather than a preference here, which is unusual — in most technology roles certifications matter far less.
What does the job actually involve day to day?
Triage. An alert fires and you decide within minutes whether it is a real attack, a misconfiguration, or one of the many things that look alarming and are not. Most alerts are false positives, and the skill being paid for is closing them confidently so the real ones get attention while they still matter.
