Put the resume match checker on your own site
One line of HTML. It works for your readers whether or not they ever visit us.
If you run a careers page, a university or college site, a bootcamp, a student portal or a job-search blog, you can add a working resume-to-job-description match checker to it. Visitors paste their resume and a job posting and get an honest skill-overlap score with the specific terms they are missing. Everything runs in their browser, so nothing they paste is uploaded to us or to you.
There is no signup, no API key, no usage limit and no cost. You do not need to ask permission. The snippet includes a one-line credit under the widget — that visible link is the whole exchange, and it is the only thing we ask for. Keep it and you owe us nothing else.
If you would rather not carry the credit line, delete it and use the widget anyway. We would rather the tool reached your readers than not, and a link given grudgingly is worth nothing to anyone.

Paste this wherever you want the tool to appear. It is responsive up to 640px wide, so it sits inside a normal article column without any extra CSS. The second line is the credit — it renders as small grey text under the widget.

A score out of 100 based on real skill overlap between the two texts, the skills that matched, and the ones the posting asks for that their resume does not mention. It is deliberately not a flattering number: a tool that tells everyone they are a 90% match teaches them nothing, and the missing-terms list is the part that changes what they do next.
The widget is self-contained. It loads no third-party scripts, sets no cookies, and sends nothing to a server — which also means it will not slow your page down or complicate your privacy policy. If your site has a Content Security Policy, allow jobstraight.com in frame-src.
Who this is actually useful for
University and college careers services get the most out of it, because the question students ask most often — "is my CV good enough for this job?" — is one a careers adviser cannot answer at scale. A widget on the careers page answers the mechanical half of it instantly, which leaves adviser time for the half that actually needs a human: what to do about the gaps it finds.
Bootcamps and training providers use it differently, usually on a course page, to let a prospective student check their current CV against a real posting for the role they are training toward. The missing-skills list doubles as an honest argument for the course, without anyone having to make a claim about outcomes.
For a blog or newsletter it works best embedded directly under an article about resumes or applications, where the reader has just been told what to fix and can act on it in the same scroll. Sending someone to a separate site to try a tool loses most of them; putting the tool where the advice is does not.
