Working as a frontend developer in Singapore
The regional headquarters for most multinationals operating across Asia, which concentrates senior and regional roles here. Employment Pass criteria tightened in recent years and now weigh salary and qualifications heavily, so check the current threshold for your level before applying.
Most of the hiring in this list clusters around the CBD, one-north and Changi Business Park. Location on a posting is not always literal — check whether a role is genuinely on site, and whether "remote" means remote within the country or remote from anywhere, because the two are priced differently.

Frontend Developer pay and hiring, asked properly
What salary can a frontend developer expect?
In India, roughly 5–10 LPA early and 12–25 LPA at mid to senior level in product companies. The US band is about $90,000–$150,000 mid-level, the UK £35,000–£60,000. The jump to senior comes from owning architecture and performance, not from writing more components.
Do I need vanilla JavaScript, or is React enough?
React alone will get you a first job and then quietly cap you. Understanding what sits underneath — the event loop, closures, how the DOM actually updates — is what you need when something breaks in a way the framework docs do not cover, and it makes the next framework a fortnight rather than a restart.
Is frontend work turning into design work?
No. Designers set direction; you build the thing that ships. What changed is the bar: accessibility, Core Web Vitals and bundle size are part of the job now rather than someone else's problem. That is more engineering, not less.
