How to become a supply chain analyst
A supply chain analyst is trying to hold three things in tension that cannot all be optimised at once: stock levels, cost, and availability. The work is forecasting, exception management and the meeting where you explain why the forecast was wrong. Most of the value is in noticing a pattern early — a supplier drifting later each month — rather than in the model itself.
