Supply Chain Analyst pay and hiring, asked properly
What salary can a supply chain analyst expect?
In India, roughly 6–13 LPA at mid-level and 16–30 LPA senior, with e-commerce and manufacturing above services. The US band is about $65,000–$100,000, the UK £32,000–£55,000. Analysts who own forecasting or network design rather than reporting sit at the top of every band.
What technical skills are expected?
Excel to a genuinely advanced level, SQL, and increasingly a BI tool — the same stack as any analyst role, applied to inventory, demand and logistics. Knowing an ERP module matters for larger employers. Python appears in the more analytical postings but is rarely a hard requirement at entry.
Is it a stable field?
More so than most, and the last few years raised its profile considerably. Disruption made supply chain a board-level concern rather than a back-office function, and the hiring reflects that. The roles are also less concentrated in tech hubs than analyst jobs generally, which widens where you can live.
